Kalesa Ed Kaluca are friends and they go on a little adventure together.

Basses 2, 4, and 6 of the septet are prepared with chopsticks that flick and swish and slide, launching the rest of the ensemble into surprised jitters. Commissioned by the Tanglewood Music Center with generous support from the Merwin Geffen M.D. and Norman Solomon M.D. Fund, this piece is dedicated to the double bassists that have taught and inspired me, especially KAthy, LEvi, SAm, EDdie, KAelan, LUke, and CArl.
